June 2, 2009 gasline burst, no recall exists for this problem. $310 to replace gasline-I had to pay for it. June 7, 2010 one year and five days later gasline burst in exact same place as last time. Nissan service manager will not replace for free because "it falls outside of the 12 month part replacement warranty."
It escapes me as to why this hasn't been recalled as it is dangerous. When I opened the hood I was sprayed directly in the face with gasoline from the leak, not to mention the potential for fires to occur under the hood.
I cannot believe that a gasline would fail when a car is only 3 years old and then the new one fail only 1 year later after being replaced.
There has to be somewhere where I can go to make these guys account for their inaction and lack of caring.
